Just want to drop a line to the zero crowd and let everyone know that this week we are completing the final data migration of old content from Zero Strategist 1.0 (Personal Social Media Blog) into Zero Strategist 2.0 (Professional Holistic Social Media Consulting Site). Basically not all of the old content is appropriate or was applicable to the structure or purpose of the new site. The old taxonomy structure was different, but we felt that there were some really important posts that needed to be rolled in such as breaking the news we covered about the White House launching it’s twitter account, getting more then 10,ooo followers in five hours and O’Reilly announcing the Government 2.0 Summit in 2009 and a few other quality articles that we wrote.

Vetting Old Content and Rolling It Back In

The reason we wanted to share this? So you won’t be confused if you see a bunch of content popping up in your RSS feed, feeding through various aggregators or old articles that are post dated. This was the last thing to do on our objectives check list and we wanted to thoroughly vet the 200 pieces of previously created content, make calls as to whether they make the cut. Of course it has been a time consuming process over but one that is critical to keeping quality where we want it to be. This is what we have been working on for the past two weeks as well as wrapping up a bunch of projects and starting new ones (more news to be posted on this stuff soon). Stay with us here as we empty a boat load of content into the new digital buckets.

Today we are happy to announce that Zero Strategist is officially released into Perpetual Beta. What this means is that all feedback that we received from the Beta development phase has been analyzed, implemented into the site and the web presence is for all intensive purposes, final. Of course the “perpetual” part of this ongoing development phase means that we will continuously integrate changes as the need arises, based on user interaction and feedback order to create the best user experience over time. Thank you everyone for your positive feedback, open criticism and encouragement through this formative development stage of Zero Strategist. With the a strong foundation built, we can concentrate on the projects we have coming up that will help to create the kind of societal impact and change we want to see in the world.

Next week will be releasing a social media case study that will provide a look into how crowd sourcing can be used as a tool for web presence design and redesigns.
