Just want to drop a line to the zero crowd and let everyone know that this week we are completing the final data migration of old content from Zero Strategist 1.0 (Personal Social Media Blog) into Zero Strategist 2.0 (Professional Holistic Social Media Consulting Site). Basically not all of the old content is appropriate or was applicable to the structure or purpose of the new site. The old taxonomy structure was different, but we felt that there were some really important posts that needed to be rolled in such as breaking the news we covered about the White House launching it’s twitter account, getting more then 10,ooo followers in five hours and O’Reilly announcing the Government 2.0 Summit in 2009 and a few other quality articles that we wrote.

Vetting Old Content and Rolling It Back In

The reason we wanted to share this? So you won’t be confused if you see a bunch of content popping up in your RSS feed, feeding through various aggregators or old articles that are post dated. This was the last thing to do on our objectives check list and we wanted to thoroughly vet the 200 pieces of previously created content, make calls as to whether they make the cut. Of course it has been a time consuming process over but one that is critical to keeping quality where we want it to be. This is what we have been working on for the past two weeks as well as wrapping up a bunch of projects and starting new ones (more news to be posted on this stuff soon). Stay with us here as we empty a boat load of content into the new digital buckets.

It has been a big two weeks for us at ZS. It has been a virtual deluge of PDX social media events, client meetings, proposal writing, internet research, training, white papers, multiple web development projects, data migration, preparation for upcoming conferences and barcamps. Be careful what you ask for right? :) Things are shaping up to make this a heck of a year and we are just getting started. Unfortunately, we won’t be making it out to SXSW (faux sobs) but hope to attend next year, though it was nice to make it out to the @beerandblog Pre-SXSW party at the Green Dragon.

The great ideas have been flowing in from new peers and ZS has sprung into action to make those ideas become a reality in 2010. We are going to have several important announcements to share with everyone this week and in March. Most importantly the final push to PERPETUAL BETA for Zero Strategist.com has been underway. ZS has not been your average web project, because we are not trying to build your average web presence. Our goal has been to create a site that will last twice the normal lifespan of a normal website, so naturally…it has taken twice the time and effort. But you get what you give, so give more. Make something awesome. Push yourself farther then you think you should, find what you are capable of. You will amaze even yourself. More soon…
